After running and analyzing countless functional hormonal labs with my clients, I continue to notice a common pattern with their results….they all have estrogen dominance.
This hormonal imbalance could be causing your annoying and even painful symptoms. Estrogen dominance can lead to many symptoms including:
- Fatigue
- Low sex drive
- Acne
- Heavy, irregular periods
- Painful menstrual cramps
- Bloating
- Weight gain
- Clots in your period
- Hair loss
- Infertility
But, estrogen dominance doesn’t mean you always have ELEVATED estrogen….it could mean that you have:
🔹low progesterone + normal estrogen
🔹low progesterone + high estrogen
🔹normal progesterone + high estrogen
So, while the results are always elevated estrogen levels IN RATIO to progesterone, it’s not always because estrogen itself is high. You could have estrogen dominance just because your PROGESTERONE is too low.
This is why it’s important to test for specific hormone levels when testing for a hormone imbalance, not just testing estrogen levels. If you think you may have an estrogen dominance, the first step is to get your hormones tested to find out!
